A 24-year old Liverpool man is alive thanks to quick action by members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

The man was found unconscious in the parking lot of the Upton VFW in Stittville, the victim of an apparent Heroin overdose.

Deputies administered Narcan (Naloxone) to the man and revived him.

The deputies used an Opioid Overdose Kit that had recently been implemented by the Sheriff’s Office for the deputies to carry inside their patrol cars and use in emergencies.

He was taken to a local hospital and was reported to be in good condition.
