Oneida County Sheriff’s Investigate Menacing Incident In Verona

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is investigating a menacing incident in the Town of Verona.

Deputies say two men stopped at a home on Route 365 last night and told the homeowner their vehicle had broken down.

They say the resident called 911 and then exited his home to help the two men.

Once outside, the man was hit in the back of the head with an unknown hard object.

Deputies say the two suspects fled after the resident told them he had called 911.

The suspects are an African American man in his late teens or early 20s, and an Hispanic man, also in his late teens or early 20s.
