The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of a vehicle reported stolen from the City of Oneida.

A deputy spotted the vehicle this afternoon on the Route 49 Oriskany exit ramp at the Whitestown-Marcy town line.

The vehicle was wrecked and still running, leading to believe that it was recently abandoned.

A State Police K9  began a search of the area and police believed they were on the trail of the suspect.  The search was called off when K9 handlers believed the suspect was picked up by vehicle.

Oneida City Police are assisting the Sheriff's Office in the investigation.
