A Job Fair will be held at the Oneida County Sheriff's Office on Monday, June 27th from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.

Sheriff Rob Maciol says there will be information on various civilian jobs, but the focus of the event will be on recruiting part-time correction officers.

Maciol says the Sheriff's Office has several current vacancies.

Part time Correction Officers can work up to 20 hours per week and the current hourly wage is $14.79.

In order to qualify for a part time Correction Officer position, applicants must be a resident of Oneida County, at least 18 years of age, possess a valid NYS Driver’s License, and be a high school graduate or possess a high school equivalency diploma.

Those wishing to apply are asked to bring their valid NYS Driver’s License with them.
