Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Oneida County Board of Elections continues to verify election results, attempting to have the official tallies in by the October 3rd deadline.

Prior to the September 13 election, Oneida County Executive Director, Anthony Picente, asked for a detailed plan of action to avoid problems encountered during last November’s voting.

Some small snags developed on primary night, but Pamela Mandryck, the Republican Commissioner, says that no election is perfect.

“Everybody has to remember that these people work basically a couple of times a year and we do the best, in terms of training, that we can," Mandryck said. "And, we had two special elections that we were running and all of those elements come together to make it a little bit difficult and a little bit more complicated.”

The group plans to have the final election results in by next week.
