Oriskany, NY (WIBX) - Don’t take your boat out on Oneida Lake!

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol says the lake is closed due to concerns over flooding, floating debris and unseen water damage.

Maciol says the portion of Oneida Lake located in Oswego County has been closed as well.

Also, in Onondaga County, the Oneida and Seneca Rivers have been closed to all boater traffic, he said.

Maciol says officials will monitor and reassess the order as needed.
