An Oneida man is facing several charges after police allegedly found a meth lab in a home on Main Street in Oneida.

Oneida City Police arrested 36-year old Cesar Montanez after executing a search warrant at 542 Main Street.

Montanez is charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Officials say Montanez was in possession of nearly 16 ounces of liquid meth with a street value of $40,000.

He's being held in the Madison County Jail without bail.

Two other people who were inside the home when the search warrant was executed were detained and later released.

The investigation is continuing.
