Oneida Mayor Donald Hudson Dead
Oneida, NY (WIBX) - His was described as a long battle with cancer.
Oneida Mayor Donald Hudson passed away on Friday at the age of 56. He has served as the Mayor of Oneida since January 2012, but was a lifelong resident and former fire chief known for bridging gaps in politics.
Calling hours are from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday, October 23, 2012 and Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Kallet Civic Center, located at 159 Main Street in Oneida. The funeral will take place immediately following at 2:00pm on Wednesday at the Civic Center.
Deputy Mayor Alden "Max" Smith will serve as mayor until the next mayoral election in November 2013.
