Oneida Nation Police Encourages The Public To Bring Unwanted Prescription Drugs To Turning Stone

Verona, NY (WIBX) – Bringing drugs to a casino is not normally something that law enforcement officials advocate, but this week they are making an exception, of sorts.
In addition to a similar program being done by the Oneida County Sheriffs, the Oneida Indian Nation is also doing its part for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Today and tomorrow you can bring unused or unwanted prescription medications to the driveway of the Turning Stone Events Center. Oneida Indian National Police Chief Joseph Smith says you can drive up without even getting out of your car. An officer will go up to the car and take the medications, no questions asked.
