Utica, NY (WIBX) - As construction continues at the Oneida Square round-about road project, business owners in that area are feeling the effects- less foot-traffic, noise and dust all coming together to create a challenging business environment.

Timothy Miller, owner of New York Wireless, an electronics business located in the heart of the construction zone, voiced his concerns to the Utica Common Council's Urban and Economic committee. "The dust and extra dirt, I'm not able to keep the sidewalks clean so it's wearing the carpet I put in. The dust is on all the displays. I think it gonna be a positive change in the end, but the businesses are really suffering".

Miller added that he's close his doors at least five times since the start of construction. The redeveloped intersection is expected to be completed in late September.
