The Oneida Square Project held its 6th Annual “Black Friday Sale” for Families today.

It took place at the Plymouth Bethesda and Cornerstone Community Church on Plant Street in Utica.

Various social agencies in the Utica area invited families to shop for 1 to 3 gifts for each child on their list at 80 percent off the retail price.

All toys were donated to the event and the shoppers purchased tickets at two-dollars each. The items are then priced between 1 and 3 tickets.

Organizers say the event provides a hand UP versus a hand out.
