Seven people from three different families were displaced as a result of a house fire on Oneida Street in Utica.

The Mohawk Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross took swift action to respond and provide emergency assistance to the residents of the Oneida Street home.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to four adults and three children, ages, 9, 11 and 13.

The Red Cross will continue to be available in the coming days to help on the road to recovery.
