A year-long investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Office and Madison County District Attorney's Office has led to the arrest of an Oneida woman on welfare fraud charges.

Authorities say 34-year old Tanya Cheseboro was receiving income for work she had been doing while allegedly collecting food stamps from Madison County and Workers Compensation from New York State.

They say Cheseboro received benefits of nearly $19,000 she was not entitled to.

Cheseboro is facing charges including grand larceny, welfare fraud and insurance fraud.
