Onondaga Lake Open for Swimming

A lake that took years to clean is open once again for swimming.

About fifty community leaders donned their best water attire to jump into Onondaga Lake yesterday in an effort to show that the lake is safe for swimming.

Not everyone is convinced, however.   Protestors say that, despite decontamination efforts that have spanned decades and cost millions of dollars, the lake is not suitable for swimming.
