Operation Hang Up Begins This Week

Operation Hang-UP begins tomorrow and will run through April 15.

State police will be cracking down on distracted driving with increased enforcement by using unmarked cars to target anyone talking on cell phones or texting while driving.

If you get caught you could be hit with a $50 to $100 fine and five points on your license.

During last years holiday season Operation Hang Up resulted in almost 900 tickets.
