“Operation Spring Brake” Is Underway

Albany, NY (WIBX) - "Operation Spring Brake" is underway all week as the State Thruway Authority and Troopers look to put a halt on speeding, especially through safety and work zones.

As construction workers take care of making the ride smoother, they're reminding drivers to do their part by making the roads safer.

Last year State Police issued 1,087 speeding tickets during Operation Spring Brake.
