Syracuse, NY (WIBX) - The fifth-ranked Syracuse Orange were dominant in victory over Manhattan on Monday night, beating the Jaspers 92-56 in the opening round of the NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament.

Forward Dion Waiters led the Orange with 17 points to go along with six rebounds. Kris Joseph and James Southerland each added 15. Southerland also shot 2-of-3 from three-point range. Syracuse (2-0) also got 12 points from Brandon Triche and eleven more from Fab Melo.

Kidani Brutus shot 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, accounting for all 15 of his points, to lead the Jaspers' offense.
