Syracuse, NY (WIBX) - The No. 20  Syracuse Orange struggled with Rutgers on Saturday, but pulled out an overtime win, 84-80, at the Carrier Dome.

The Orange (22-6, 9-6 Big East) missed opportunities to win the game in regulation as Rick Jackson made just two of his four free throw attempts in the final 39 seconds of the second half.

Kris Joseph led Syracuse with 21 points. Jackon added 18 points to go along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks. C.J. Fair and Bradon Triche scored 17 apiece - for Fair it was a career high total.

Guard Mike Coburn's 18 points lead the the Scarlet Knights (13-13, 4-10 Big East), whose only road win against Syracuse came in 1975.

The Orange will hit the road to play No. 14 Villanova on Monday.
