Jim Boeheim moved into a tie for third on the all-time wins list as the Orange manhandled St. John's 95-70 on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

The win for Boeheim gives him 879 for his career, tying him with Dean Smith.

It was the fourth time No. 2 Syracuse (23-1, 10-1 Big East) scored more than 90 this season and the first time in conference play.

The Orange got 14 apiece from C.J. Fair, Dion Waiters and Fab Melo, who returned after missing three games due to an academic issue. Kris Joseph and freshman Michael Carter-Williams each had 13. Carter-Williams shot 5 of  6 from the floor, including 3 of 4 from three-point range.

D'Angelo Harrison led the Red Storm with 23.

No. 14 Georgetown (18-4, 8-3 Big East) visits the Carrier Dome on Wednesday night.
