Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has been suspended 25 games by Major League Baseball.

Davis was hit with the ban after testing positive for an amphetamine.

The ban begins immediately and will last into the postseason.

Baltimore came into Friday 10 games up in the American League East with 17 games left.

Davis says he used Adderall and previously had a therapeutic use exemption.

He's hitting .196 with 26 homers.
