Otsego County Woman Charged With Grand Larceny

An Otsego County woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $11,000 dollars from an elderly couple.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office says Stephanie Shulgay was a home health care aide for a 91-year old man and his wife before she died.

Sheriff Richard Devlin says over the last two years, Shulgay had been taking cash advances on the couple's bank account by using their credit and debit cards.

He says Shulgay used the money to pay some of her personal bills and some of the bills of her elderly uncle.

Shulgay is charged with grand larceny.
