Despite being one-hit through six innings, the San Diego Padres strung three hits together in the seventh eventually earning a 3-1 victory while preventing R.A. Dickey from his 15th win.

The Padres grabbed the lead when Carlos Quentin busted the ball loose from Josh Thole in a home plate collision on Yonder Alonso's double to the gap. John Baker followed that up with an RBI single, making a winner of Clayton Richard (8-11) who surrendered just one run on eight hits through seven innings.

Dickey struck out nine while allowing just four hits but fell to 14-3.

Huston Street closed it out in the ninth with his 18th save.
