Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri and Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas have made a wager on the Calder Cup Finals.

If the Comets win, Palmieri will receive a basket from Manchester's world renowned Red Arrow Diner, filled with their famous Dinah Fingers, a lobster and maple syrup, along with a six-pack of beer brewed at Milly's Tavern.

If the Monarchs win, Gatsas will get a Meyda Tiffany lamp, a box of half-moons, a box of tomato pie, a six-pack of Saranac beer, Italian pastries, a bottle of vodka from the Adirondack Distilling Company and a pound of coffee from the Utica Coffee Roasting Company.

The mayors will make the exchange in Saratoga in August.

In addition the mayor of the losing team will wear the winning team's jersey.

Mayor Palmieri stated, “I had the pleasure of speaking with Mayor Gatsas this afternoon and we are very proud of our respective hockey teams.  This is great for both our cities and we look forward to an exciting series.”
