Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri is introducing a new road improvement plan to address the city's aging roads and infrastructure.

Palmieri says he's implementing an "all of the above" plan and approach to maximize the impact of the limited resources the city has to address road conditions.

The mayor says the DPW is using all available resources and equipment to improve road conditions.

Palmieri says DPW crews have fixed over 2,000 potholes and counting this year under the "Pothole Campaign."

Senator Joseph Griffo's office has secured $600,000 in state funding to help fund part of the city's road improvement plan.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi obtained a $250,000 grant for Utica to help with road repairs.
