Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri has appointed Lonnie Steadman as the City Assessor.

Steadman will replace Dave Williams, who's retiring from the position.

Steadman has worked as a City Assessor for 24 years.

He was the City of Utica Assessor for three years in the mid 1990s and a served as City of Oneida Assessor for over 20 years.  Steadman is a licensed commercial appraiser with an educational background in accounting.

"Lonnie has extensive experience and knowledge and will be a great asset to our team." said Palmieri.  "I am pleased Lonnie will be coming back to Utica and serve our community in this capacity."

Steadman's appointment will take effect on July 23rd.
