Utica, NY (WIBX) - Mayor Robert Palmieri is doing his part to raise awareness for breast cancer.

He and his wife Susan are hosting the inaugural Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon tomorrow at Daniele’s at Valley View.

Guests for the 11:30 a.m. event include Debra Walz, with Faxton-Saint Luke’s Healthcare, and Bonnie Woods, a breast cancer survivor.

In addition to the food, those attending can enter to bid on gift baskets provided by city employees and local businesses.

PJ Green and Faxton-Saint Luke’s Healthcare are sponsoring the event, with all proceeds going to Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
