Parking Lot Accident Injures Hannaford Shopper

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - A Verona woman was injured in a car-pedestrian accident in the parking lot of the Hannaford Supermarket on Commercial Drive.

New Hartford Police say 42-year old Donna Kiner was crossing the store parking lot when the shopping cart she was pushing was hit by a vehicle driven by 44-year old Darren Cittadino of  Whitesboro.

The impact of the crash caused the cart to hit Kiner, knocking her to the ground.

Kiner was treated at the scene for leg and hand injuries.

Cittadino was ticketed for failing to use due care when ecountering a pedestrian.
