Utica, NY (WIBX) - The man accused of shooting and killing Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy Kurt Wyman has been formally charged.

40-year old Christian Patterson was arraigned yesterday by Oneida County Court Judge Michael Dwyer on a charge of aggravated murder.

The charge carries a sentence of life in prison without parole.
