Penalties Handed Down In American Legion Baseball Brawl

New York State American Legion Baseball is handing down penalties stemming from a July 26th brawl at Murnane Field during the 5th District American Legion Baseball Championships.

New Hartford and Whitestown Posts are both banned from participating in the 2014 district playoffs.

The team's coaches have been put on probation and five players have been suspended.

New York American Legion Baseball Chairman Bruce Mayfield is also recommending the two teams do joint community service.
