Penn. Man Charged After Pit Bull Attacks Woman In Oneida
Oneida, NY (WIBX) - A Pennsylvania man faces a dangerous dog violation after his pit bull allegedly attacked a woman in Oneida.
According to Oneida Police, James Pethal, 36, of Wilkes Barre, was involved in an argument with an 18 year-old Canastota woman yesterday afternoon, when his pit bull went after her.
The dog bit the woman's arm, holding on and shaking her for six to eight minutes.
An Oneida City Community Service Officer was able to remove the dog from the woman and defend himself using a dog pole and sound tactics.
The victim received severe lacerations, heavy bleeding and swelling.
Pethal is charged with Dangerous Dog in Violation of the Agriculture and Markets Law.
