The Oneida County Youth Bureau and Oneida County STOP DWI, along with local school districts, are teaming up for Teen Safety and Education Week.

The week includes the Teen Safety and Education Program, which is presented to high school students each year prior to prom season.

County Executive Anthony Picente says teen safety is a top priority for County Government and the Teen Traffic Safety Education Program provides an opportunity to educate teens and their families on the dangers of making destructive decisions at a critical time of year.

The 5th annual STOP DWI Baseball Classic will also take place on April 29th and 30th at Donovan Stadium at Murnane Field.  Here is the schedule of games:

Friday, April 29th

Holland Patent vs Whitesboro 4:30

VVS vs Oneida  7:00

Saturday, April 30th

Clinton vs Westmoreland   11:00

New Hartford vs Notre Dame 2:00

New York MIlls vs Waterville   5:00

This year's classic is being played in memory of Kane Buss, a 2013 Oneida High School graduate who was killed by a drunk driver as he exited Destiny Mall in January of last year.
