Utica, NY (WIBX) - Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente delivered his 2011 State of the County Address at the Radisson Hotel in Utica this morning.

Picente talked about consolidation and the merger of the County and New Hartford 9-1-1 Call Centers.

The County Executive also noted that during his four years in office, he's reduced the county workforce by 214 employees, saving over $9.5 million in salaries alone.

He says the number of county employees is at its lowest level in 30 years.

Picente also touched on the Oneida Indian Nation and said he will continue to look for a solution between county government and the largest employer in central New York to create a future that is fair and equitable for all taxpayers.

Picente's address was sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce and was broadcast live on WIBX.
