Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente presented a proclamation to Sheriff Rob Maciol at the Sheriff's Office in Oriskany on Friday, recognizing Sheriff’s Week in New York state.

Picente and Sheriff Maciol both thanked  the men and women of Sheriff’s Office for their commitment and dedication in serving and protecting the people of Oneida County.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Officers was first established in 1798

The Sheriff's Office has over 500 employees in the Law Enforcement, Civil and Corrections Divisions.

A proclamation signed by Governor Cuomo was also presented to the Sheriff.
