Picente Urges Job Seekers to Attend DFAS Information Sessions

Free information sessions for jobs at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service Center will take place in September at the Working Solutions Centers in Utica and Rome.

All positions are based at the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome.  The starting salary for a Contact Representative position is $29, 356.

"DFAS is an important county employer that provides excellent career opportunities for the people of our region," Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente said. "These entry-level federal positions offer good wages and benefits and the opportunity for advancement. They also give job seekers a chance to serve those who defend this country by assisting military members with financial issues."

Reservations are required to attend the information sessions.

• To reserve a seat at the Wednesday, Sept. 6 sessions at the Rome Working Solutions office at 300 W. Dominick St., call (315) 356-0662. The sessions will take place at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• To reserve a seat at the Monday, Sept. 11 sessions at the Utica Working Solutions Office at 207 Genesee St., call (315) 792-2229. Sessions will take place at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
