Piper’s Ted X Talk Gives ‘Orange is the New Black’ Insight

Piper Kerman who’s memoir inspired the Netflix series ‘Orange is the New Black,’ spoke at a TedX event inside the Marion Correctional Facility in Ohio in October of last year.

Kerman, who spent 13 months in federal prison following her involvement in a decade-long drug smuggling ring, spoke about her experience behind bars in front of inmates and employees.
