A 16-year-old boy accused of robbing and raping a Wilson Hospital employee as she was getting into her car after work April 14 is turning down a plea deal.

Jacob Coish is charged with multiple counts including rape and robbery that could send him to prison for 25 years.

This week, the teen rejected an offer from the District Attorney’s Office for a guilty plea to felony robbery and testimony against his co-defendant, 16 year old Brandon Corey in exchange for 12 years in prison.

Corey has also pleaded not guilty to six counts including rape and robbery.

Both teens are being held in the Broome County Jail.

The early morning attack on the Wilson Hospital employee has prompted United Health Services to fence off parking lots, install bright generator-run lighting and employ security guards to patrol the area between Main Street and Corliss Avenue.
