First Ward Utica Common Council candidate Lou Poccia has filed nominating petitions to appear on the No Hospital Downtown Party line.

Poccia submitted the necessary signatures to the Oneida County Board of Elections this morning.

Poccia has three other party lines -- Republican, Conservative and Reform.  However, according to Poccia, "This additional line allows people to vote against the hospital. Yes, there was talk of a referendum, but this is the closest we can get to one -  and I feel it's a critically important especially for the first ward."

All candidates on the newly established No Hospital Downtown line have signed a pledge to work to place a new hospital on the St. Luke's Hospital Campus, and not Downtown Utica.
