JOHNSBURG, N.Y. (AP) — Police say two people have died and two others are hospitalized with serious injuries after their vehicle went off of an Adirondack road and slammed into a boulder.

The Post-Star of Glens Falls reports the Warren County Sheriff's Office says the accident occurred around 10:20 p.m. Thursday in the town of Johnsburg, 65 miles (104 kilometers) north of Albany.

Deputies say two people died from their injuries. Two others were airlifted to Albany Medical Center. Police haven't released the names late Friday afternoon.

Deputies say the cause of the crash is being investigated.
