BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Police in upstate New York say a 5-year-old girl has been injured in a hit-and-run crash.

Police say the crash happened in Buffalo around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities say a vehicle struck a child who was near the edge of the street.

The girl was taken to Women and Children's Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police have not released the identity of the driver involved in the crash. Police say the 29-year-old woman has been issued a summons for leaving the scene of a vehicle collision involving an injury.
