NEWFANE, N.Y. (AP) — Police in upstate New York say a pedestrian has been killed in a crash.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a 33-year-old man was struck and killed while walking along a road in the town of Newfane around 11 p.m. Thursday. Deputies say they don't believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

Police say the 25-year-old woman driving the car suffered a minor injury. She hasn't been charged.

Deputies say the investigation is continuing.
