SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — State police say they're investigating a drive-by shooting on a Syracuse highway that left a vehicle with shattered windows.

Troopers say the driver of a Land Rover was traveling on Interstate 690 around 1 a.m. Monday and attempted to exit at Teall Avenue when the motorist heard several gunshots that broke windows on the vehicle.

The driver continued east on I-690 and found a trooper to report the incident. The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Police say they found eight bullet casings on the highway near the Teall Avenue exit ramp.

Troopers say the driver's-side window was shattered, while the front and rear driver's-side doors had several bullet holes in them.
