Police Investigating 16-Year-Old Boy’s Stabbing Death

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) — Police in upstate New York say they're investigating the stabbing death of a 16-year-old boy.

The Lockport Police Department says they were called to a street in the Niagara County city on Sunday night for reports of a stabbing and a large fight. Authorities say Elijah Wedington was found severely injured from a stabbing at the scene.

Emergency service workers began administering first aid to Wedington but he died at the scene.

Police say they're gathering evidence and are seeking anyone who may have any information about the stabbing.
