Police Investigating Fatal Car-Pedestrian Accident In Verona

Verona, NY (WIBX) - State Police are investigating a fatal car-pedestrian accident that happened last night on Route 365 near Patrick Road in Verona. Police say 26-year old Jonathan Dahlgren of North Syracuse was hit by a car driven by 24-year old Scott Matt of Rome as he was crossing the four-lane divided highway. Dahlgren was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say Dahlgren was wearing dark clothing. They say there is no indication of alcohol or speed being a factor in the accident, however their investigation is still active.
