Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred in Yorkville last night.

Police received a call at approximately 5:07pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 that shots were fired on Whitesboro Street.  Officers responded.  A suspect was taken into custody and arrested.

Police say 25-year-old Frank Johnson of New York Mills was not armed when he was taken into custody.

Chief Gregg DeLuca tells WIBX that Johnson was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one count of reckless endangerment in the first degree, one count of reckless endagement in the second degree, and charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a facility.

Johnson was arraigned before Judge Kulaga in the Town of Yorkville Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
