GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a former boyfriend is facing murder charges after a woman and her young daughter were apparently stabbed to death in an upstate New York city.

Glens Falls police tell The Post-Star (http://bit.ly/2vqdHPQ ) they arrested 21-year-old Bryan Redden around noon Friday after he was spotted driving the victim's SUV.

The mother and child were identified in court papers as 33-year-old Crystal Riley and her 4-year-old daughter, Lilly Frasier.

Redden was held without bail at his arraignment Friday night on murder charges.

Warren County public defender Marcy Flores declined comment.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Riley and her daughter were found dead in their apartment on Friday morning.
