Clinton, NY (WIBX) - Officials say an investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics uncovered a large quantity of illegal drugs in a Clinton home. Law Enforcement officials say they arrested 24 year old Jerry Beckwith of 7401 College Hill Road, after the execution of a search warrant uncovered 200 live marijuana plants, mushrooms, assorted marijuana growing materials, including lamps, generators, air purifiers, a filtration system and digital scales. Officials say they also found a loaded LLAMA .22 handgun.

Beckwith is charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd  D Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a weapon 3rd  D Felony ( loaded LLAMA .22 handgun)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd   B Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd  A II Felony

According to the report, the operation was a joint effort by the Oneida County Drug Task Force and Town of Kirkland Police.
