WEBSTER, N.Y. (AP) — Police are investigating after a man's body was pulled from the icy waters of the Irondequoit Bay in western New York.

Webster police received a call around 3:30 p.m. Monday to report that a person was in the water at the end of Mayer's Marina near the Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge.

First responders pulled the man's body from the northern part of the bay.

Police have identified the victim but are not releasing his name pending notification of family.

Chief Joseph Rieger says he doesn't think the death was suspicious.

Investigators believe the victim was out on an icy walkway toward the end of the marina but are unsure how he ended up in the water.
