WEST SENECA, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they had to use a stun gun to subdue a 24-year-old man with a knife after he burst into a suburban Buffalo fitness club and threatened people.

Officials in West Seneca tell local media that Louis Doll of West Seneca was spotted waving a knife outside a home Thursday night. Police arrived and tracked him down to the Planet Fitness at a nearby shopping plaza.

Gym employees say Doll was screaming and threatening to harm people. Police say when officers arrived, Doll squared off with them and refused to drop his knife. An officer then used a Taser to subdue Doll.

He was charged with menacing a police officer and criminal possession of a weapon. Doll is being held in jail. It couldn't immediately be determined if he had a lawyer.
