WATERTOWN, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say they've charged a teenager with killing a 62-year-old man by stabbing him several times before setting him on fire inside his northern New York home.

Police in the city of Watertown tell local media that they arrested 18-year-old Kyle Box Monday and charged him with second-degree murder.

Police say the teen went to Randy Bent's home Sunday and stabbed him several times before setting him on fire. When fire crews arrived at the house around 9 p.m., they found Bent's body inside.

Investigators aren't discussing a motive for the killing.

Officials say Box had moved to upstate New York from Texas more than a year ago and was living with his mother in Carthage, near Watertown.

Box is being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bail. It couldn't be determined if he has a lawyer.
