Police: Woman Made Toddler Eat Feces

Oneida, NY (WIBX) -A toddler from Madison County was removed from a home by protective services after police say the child was forced to eat feces from his soiled diaper.

Oneida City Police have charged 28-year-old Julie Patane, and Melissa Seifert, 35, with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say Patane took the toddler's dirty diaper and put the feces on his lips, then forced him to eat it.

Police say the boy's mother, Seifert should have used reasonable diligence to prevent the abuse. The investigation found that Seifert also failed to report bruising on the child.
